2025 World Am Day 1 Photos from “The World’s Largest 19th Hole”: St. André Golf, USGA CEO Mike Whan, and More!

Day 1 of the 42nd Annual Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship wrapped up Monday night with St. André Golf’s Aaron Chewning, Hannah Rae Aslesen and Jonathan Pawlowski welcoming a festive, packed house of guests to “The World’s Largest 19th Hole” at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Among the dignitaries joining them were United States Golf Association CEO Mike Whan and South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism Director Duane Parrish.

Photographer Drew Amato joins the World Am team this week with daily photo galleries, including today’s collection that captures the essence of World Am camaraderie and revelry that you can only find in The Golf Capital of the World®!

World Am Course Rotation Includes Four Fit for a “King”

Of the 55 participating courses in this year’s Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship just four bear the treasured signature of “The King,” Arnold Palmer. World Am Champ Helps Kick Off PGA TOUR Event in Style

A world champ met another audience on the world stage recently, as 2025 Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship winner Scott Collette was invited to help kick off the PGA TOUR’s 2026 ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic with the honor of delivering the event’s ceremonial first tee shot.
