Brandel Chamblee to be a Guest Speaker at World’s Largest 19th Hole

One of golf’s most outspoken personalities will be making his maiden trip to the Golf.com World Amateur Handicap Championship.

Golf Magazine columnist and Golf Channel personality Brandel Chamblee will be one of the featured speakers at the World’s Largest 19th Hole. The 30th annual World Am will be played August 26-30, 2013.

Chamblee, one of golf’s fastest rising personalities,  pulls no punches in his analysis of the game and will regale tournament participants with stories about life on Tour and behind the microphone.

“Brandel Chamblee is among the most knowledgeable and entertaining voices  on the golf media landscape,” said Jeff Monday, tournament director for the World Am. “He will be a great guest speaker at the World Am, providing our players an inside the ropes look at life on the PGA Tour.”

Chamblee, who won the 1998 Greater Vancouver Open for his only PGA Tour victory, played on Tour for 15 years and finished in the Top 100 on the money list for seven consecutive years during one stretch.

After losing his card in 2003, Chamblee moved to the broadcast booth where he has starred. Currently he is the lead analyst for Golf Channel’s PGA TOUR coverage and also as a studio analyst for Golf Central, Golf Central Pre Game and the network’s Live From telecasts during majors weeks.

A three-time All-American at Texas, Chamblee held the first round lead at The Masters in 1999.
