As a tournament staff, we prepare for the World Am all year. Then it arrives and, like a wedding, it seems to go by to fast. It’s hard to believe we’ve completed four rounds of play under, at the risk of overstating things, almost perfect weather.
All that’s left is the final night of the World’s Largest 19th Hole and the always highly anticipated World Championship Playoff tomorrow at Barefoot Resort’s Dye Club.
There is plenty to look forward to at the 19th Hole, including a special 30th anniversary video and random drawing prizes. Author David Wood, who spent a year traveling to world and playing golf, will be on stage to discuss his highly acclaimed book, “Around the World in 80 Rounds.”
One of the Carolina’s best party and wedding bands, PlaneJane will provide the live entertainment in the ballroom. PlaneJane is a six-piece ensemble that plays exciting hits from the sixties to the present. The talented group has performed over four thousand shows in eight states to great acclaim since its inception in 1997. This band is built to keep the crowd on its feet, dancing to electrified funk tunes that are punctuated with swinging horn section solos, hip-hop, funk, shag and disco songs, and rock and roll favorites from every era. PlaneJane has five vocalists, each with a distinctive style, who harmonize to form a trademark vocal sound.
