Barefoot Resort – Norman

4980 Barefoot Resort Bridge Rd • North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582

Greg Norman’s only public course in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina sometimes gets overshadowed by its sister layouts. If you overlook the Great White Shark’s work at Barefoot Resort shame on you. The Norman Course is imminently playable and four holes on the back nine play along the Intracoastal Waterway. Each of the Waterway holes are spectacular, particularly the par 3 10th, but the layout’s best hole is arguably the par 5 ninth with its approach over natural wetlands to a devilish green.  Make the visit to the Norman Course when you golf in Myrtle Beach and the rest of your group will thank you later.

Norman, award-winning designer, is excited about his design, stating “We have a fabulous piece of property with great elevations and the developer has spared no expense to ensure that this course is the absolute best it can be.” Also ranked in Golf Digest’s “Places to Play-2004” and was #28 in the “Top 50 Courses of Myrtle Beach” by Golf Digest. New in 2006, a 30-acre lighted practice facility complete with teaching school, New York-style pizzeria and deli sports bar.
