Club Choice Ireland Delivers Dream Trips For World Am Players

The World Am attracts players with a passion for golf and, in many instances, travel. For avid players, few things hold the allure of a links course, playing along natural dunes and a coastline.

A trip featuring true links courses is a bucket list item for many golfers, and one of our most popular exhibitors at the World’s Largest 19th Hole – Club Choice Ireland – helps make that dream a reality.

CCI, which is run by the father-son tandem of Larry and Tiernan Byrne, is one of the Emerald Isles’ leading tour operators, and the primary reason for the company’s success is simple: they tailor each trip to the needs of the group.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach at CCI. Tiernan, who is generally the first point of contact for group leaders, collects all the pertinent information – group size, budget, interests on and off the course et al – and constructs an itinerary that includes every facet of a proposed trip.

“There is a trust factor you have to build for someone to hand you their trip,” Tiernan said. “I need to take what they are looking for and craft a trip that works. I’m not selling a particular region or course; I’m working for what you want.”

Some groups focus their trip almost entirely on golf. More often, Tiernan builds vacations that feature golf and the ability to enjoy Ireland’s off-course beauty, allowing visitors to soak up the country’s rich history and culture.

Ireland is home to some of the world’s greatest courses, including Ballybunion, Lahinich, Waterville Golf Links, Royal Portrush, Old Head and Royal County Down, among many others.

Ireland’s premier layouts attract the majority of the attention and can create the perception of a trip that is unaffordable for most, but that’s a myth Tiernan likes to debunk. There are more than 400 courses in Ireland, including a surplus of lesser known links courses, like Rossalore, that allow CCI to craft a trip that delivers an unforgettable links golf experience at a price that is attainable.

Whether it’s in one year, five years or even 10, we’d all like to take a trip to Ireland, and the dream can begin at the Club Choice Ireland booth.
