The World Am Flight Winners Playoff returns to Grande Dunes in 2023

Year in and year out the World Am strives to bring to life one of the most competitive and high-caliber tournament golf experiences for thousands and thousands of amateur golfers. A week packed with golf, fun, stories and challenges culminates into Friday’s World Am Flight Winner’s Playoff.

The Tournament Committee is excited to announce the Grande Dunes Resort Course in Myrtle Beach will be hosting the World Am Flight Winner’s Playoff again in 2023. After a fantastic run of eight years at the Barefoot Dye Club, the Friday finale was moved to it’s new home at the gorgeous Grande Dunes Resort in 2021. In 2022 Grande Dunes underwent a massive improvement project encompassing their greens, bunkers and clubhouse that saw the Flight Winner’s Playoff move to TPC Myrtle Beach.

TPC Myrtle Beach played host in 2022, and it was fantastic. TPC, as one of the most prestigious tournament golf venues in South Carolina, provided competitors with a beautiful course & memorable challenge. We are tremendously grateful for their hospitality in 2022.

The World Am Tournament Committee is so excited to make a return to the Grande Dunes Resort Course! Grande Dunes is one of the best golf experiences in the Grand Strand area, and the World Am is proud to call Grande Dunes home for the Friday finale in 2023 & beyond. A golfer’s paradise with beautiful views of the Waterway, six tee boxes for competitors of all skill levels, and a world class resort operation, Grande Dunes has it all. Having hosted many prestigious events like the PGA Professionals National Championship, the South Carolina Open, and more in the past; Grande Dunes will give a Tour-like championship feel no doubt to any World Am Finalist fortunate enough to get a shot!

The Flight Winner’s Playoff for the 2023 World Amateur Handicap Championship will be hosted on Friday, September 1st, 2023 at the Grande Dunes Resort Course in Myrtle Beach, SC, with tee times starting at 7:30AM.
