Conditions were tough during round two as the rain took center stage at the World Am. Fortunately, the vast majority of flights (54 of 68) were able to complete play, and with the weather forecast to begin clearing up later in the week, hopefully sunnier days await.

Golf.com’s intrepid reporter, Gary Van Sickle, braved the elements with his fellow contestants at Wild Wing Avocet. Van Sickle, a 0 handicap, shot a 76 and is in 21st place heading into the third round.

The Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship team traveled to Three Ridges Golf Course in Knoxville, Tennessee, to formally honor 2025 World Champion Scott Collette with an onsite trophy presentation at his home course. Dozens of family members, friends, and fellow members of the Three Ridges community gathered to recognize Collette’s outstanding achievement at the 2025 Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship in The Golf Capital of the World®. The event marked a proud moment for both Collette and his home club, celebrating his triumph over a field of nearly 3,000 competitors from across the globe.
