A Competitive Experience for Everyone at the Myrtle Beach World Am

Whether you’re a scratch golfer chasing greatness or a weekend warrior just out to have fun, the Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship delivers a truly unmatched competitive experience for every skill level, every age, and every kind of player.

This isn’t just a tournament. It’s a celebration of golf with 3,000 passionate players from across the globe, and countless ways to compete both on and off the course.

Divisions for every game and every golfer include:

  • Net Handicap Divisions
Flighted by age, gender, and handicap, these divisions offer fair and exciting competition across the board. With 72 holes of net stroke play, every golfer has a shot at topping their flight and advancing to Friday’s Flight Winners Playoff at Thistle Golf Club.

  • Gross Divisions
Prefer to play it straight-up? The Gross Division is for you! With separate flights for Men, Senior Men (50+), Mid Senior Men (60+), and Women, it’s a pure test of skill for players who thrive under pressure.

  • Just for Fun Division
If your goal is more good times than low scores, this division lets you enjoy the full World Am experience—without the worry of how your final score stacks up against others. This division is about fun times and engagement with others. Even better, you’re still eligible for great prizes, handed out randomly throughout the week!

Extra chances to compete and connect feature:

  • Casa de Campo Pairs Competition
Team up with another World Am player and compete as a pair across four days of net play. The top five teams advance to Friday’s Flight Winners Playoff, where you’re vying for both a World Am trophy and a chance to win a Caribbean golf getaway as well!

  • Daily Skills Contests
Every round comes with bonus chances to win, including closest to the pin, long drive, straight drive, and daily low net competitions. With hundreds of winners crowned throughout the week, there’s always something to shoot for.

Off the course at “The World’s Largest 19th Hole”

When the rounds are done, the competition doesn’t stop. Each night, the World’s Largest 19th Hole at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center hosts lively contests, unforgettable camaraderie, and prizes galore when you take part in the World Am’s World-Famous Long Putt Contest, Indoor Par 3 Challenge and Golf Simulator Closest to the Pin Challenge!

With thousands of dollars in prizes awarded and endless opportunities to test your skills, it’s just as much fun off the course as it is on it.

No matter how seriously you take your game (or don’t), the World Am is your chance to compete, connect, and create memories that last a lifetime. Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about chasing a trophy, it’s about the stories, the friendships, and the joy that only golf can bring!
