For 40 years, the Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship has been an iconic event on the global golfing calendar. This event brings together players of all skill levels, from beginners to scratch golfers, making it one of the most inclusive and unique tournaments in the world.

The tournament’s rich history is filled with unforgettable moments and the sheer joy of playing the game we all adore. A world champ met another audience on the world stage recently, as 2025 Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship winner Scott Collette was invited to help kick off the PGA TOUR’s 2026 ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic with the honor of delivering the event’s ceremonial first tee shot.
