Club Choice Ireland to renew sponsorship of Pairs Competition

Players will arrive at the Myrtle Beach World Amateur Handicap Championship dreaming of earning the mantle of world champ, but winning the Pairs Competition is a close second this year.clubchoiceireland pairs competition

Our favorite tournament within the tournament, the Pairs Competition is a two-person team event and after 72 holes of net stroke play competition, the top 5 teams will advance to the World Championship Playoff to compete for the best prize in PC history!

We are proud to partner for a second straight year with Club Choice Ireland to provide the winner of this year’s PC with a 6-night, 5-round dream trip to Ireland.

In 2018, the team of Ted Johnston and John Long of Texas (pictured above) snagged their dream vacation after 5 days of stellar play in their respective flights. They are set to explore the best golf Ireland has to offer this August.

The 2019 Club Choice Ireland Pairs champions will once again be treated to a once-in-a-lifetime golf tour of the Emerald Isle, playing some of its finest golf courses, including The K-Club (a Ryder Cup host venue), Druids Glen GC, Bunclody GFC, Rosslare Links and Mount Juliet GC.

The winners will be staying at the 5-star Druids Glen Hotel, The Ferrycarrig Hotel Wexford, a 4-star facility, and Hunters Yard at Mount Juliet Estate, yet another 4-star accommodations property.

All World Am players competing in a competitive division are are welcome to participate in the Club Choice Ireland Pairs Competition. Cost is $50 per player and if you don’t have a partner, the tournament will find you one. Your partner does not have to play in your flight.

If you are wondering whether you want to enter, the involvement of Club Choice Ireland, one of Irelands premier golf tour operators, should be enough to make you take the plunge.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship and we can’t wait to welcome the winners of the Pairs Competition over to Ireland for their trip of a lifetime!” Tiernan Byrne, MD Club Choice Ireland

Consider the golf courses awaiting the victorious pair:

A former host of the Irish PGA, won by Padraig Harrington, and the Irish Seniors Open, Powerscourt Golf Club is one of the finest parkland courses the Emerald Isle has to offer.

Druids Glen Golf Club, known aDruids Glen Hole 12s the Augusta National of Europe, counts Colin Montgomerie, Sir Nick Faldo, Sergio Garcia and Harrington among the luminaries that have played the course.

The K Club is the newest addition to the itinerary and host venue of the Ryder Cup. Steeped in history, the 5 Star K Club hotel and resort combines old world elegance with indulgent luxury so guests are treated to luxurious rooms and incredible dining experiences.

A trip to Ireland wouldn’t be complete without challenging a links layout, and Rosslare Golf Links is one of the best. Playing along a narrow peninsula, surrounded by the Irish Sea and a huge expanse of Wexford, Rosslare is stunning in its beauty. As an added bonus, it’s located on the southeast coast, which matters to you because that is the sunniest corner of Ireland, making it the perfect place to conclude your trip.

The trip finishes with a bang, a round on the Jack Nicklaus designed Mount Juliet Golf Club which has played host to an Accenture World Championship as well as hosting all the greats incl. Tiger!
