The World’s Largest 19th Hole: a celebration of golf, fun, good drinks, and great food! Every year the World Am hosts over 3,000 competitors and their guests for a nightly tasting of the best eats from across the area.
Local favorites from up and down the Beach stop by the 19th Hole with their tastiest menu items to serve to the thousands of smiling faces each evening. From surf & turf staples, to savory pasta, to desserts that have endless seconds waiting, there is something for all of your taste buds! Each restaurant team works hard to deliver the goods from start to finish, and feeding thousands of people each evening is truly a feat that deserves a special round of applause.
Naturally the question is, which restaurant & dish was the crowd favorite?
Well, we asked the you, the people, and the results are in… After compiling post-event survey data from thousands of responses it was a tight race. With top marks and delicious feedback, the “People’s Choice” award goes to: Angelo’s Steak & Pasta! Bringing out their tried-n-true classic “Pasta Marinara with Meatballs and Freshly Grated Cheese”, the crowd went wild. Congratulations to Angelo’s for their well-deserved victory.
This race was no blowout however, and the honorable mentions were just a few tallies away each from hoisting the trophy themselves.
The team at Big Mike’s Soul Food brought the HEAT with multiple dishes earning top marks. Grabbing the honorable mentions were Big Mike’s Thursday night special “Slow-Cooked Beef Brisket in light Brown Gravy with Creamy Macaroni & Cheese”, & Tuesday’s low country classic “Homemade Chicken Bog with Sweet Southern Cornbread”.
Right on the heels of the competition were the “Angus Meatloaf over Wild Rice with Espagnole Gravy” from Sam Snead’s Oak Grill & Tavern, and “Bimini’s Famous Grouper Bites with Cocktail Sauce, Coleslaw & Hush Puppies” from Bimini’s Oyster Bar & Seafood Cafe.
