Exciting Update to the Flight Together Request System!

With the return to tee time starts in 2024, we happy to announce we are expanding on the much loved “Flight Together Request” system. Not only will players be able to continue requesting to be flighted with their travel buddies, but will now be guaranteed to have tee times reasonably close together. *When requesting a flight together with more than 1 person, a guarantee of a 1 tee time difference will be slightly expanded into further tee times.

Given this, these players will no longer have to run the risk of being on opposite side of the tee time wave. This means more time for post-round fun in Myrtle Beach!

Tee times are adjusted based on these requests. If you landed in the same flight as a friend without a request, your tee times will be random. You may not make these requests after the fact.

For those that may be newer to the event, or even bringing a friend for the first time, our “Flight Together Request” system is explained briefly below:

You may request to play in the same flight as up to 4 friends of the same gender in the same style of competition (gross, net, just for fun). To do this all players making the request will have to play down to the lowest age group and lowest handicap bracket of the players involved in the request.

For example: If a 65 year old man with a 12 handicap wants to play in the same flight as his 42 year old son who has a 7.5 handicap, both men would have to play in the 49 and under age group and in the flight that a 7.5 would play. The participant playing down into a lower flight will have their handicap adjusted to the highest handicap within that flight.  If the handicap range was 6.2-8.9 the father in the example would have his handicap changed from 12 to 8.9.

If anyone has any questions at all, do not hesitate to reach out via phone call at 1-800-833-8798 or by sending an email to wahc@golfholiday.com.
