Registration Opening Soon for the Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship

The countdown is on. Registration is about to open for the Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship, the world’s largest amateur golf tournament, and one of the most anticipated weeks in amateur golf.

Each year, thousands of golfers travel to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to compete in a 72-hole, net stroke play championship contested across many of the area’s premier courses. Flighted by age, gender, and handicap, the tournament provides players of all skill levels a fair opportunity to compete, connect, and experience championship golf in the Golf Capital of the World.

Registration Dates to Know

Past participants will receive priority access when early registration opens March 11. 

Registration opens to the public on March 18.

The field is limited to the first 3,000 golfers. Players are encouraged to secure their spot as early as possible.

Early Registration Incentives

Golfers who register on or before March 31 will be eligible for a special incentive: entry into a random drawing for $25,000 worth of prizes. It is one more reason to commit early and guarantee your place in this year’s championship!

Golfers are encouraged to register early to take advantage of current entry rates. Beginning April 15, registration will move into the next phase of pricing as the tournament field continues to take shape and preparations for championship week ramp up. Securing your spot early guarantees your place among this year’s field.

The Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship is more than just a tournament — it is a week-long celebration of the game where players will leave a legend. Players compete over four rounds on outstanding Grand Strand courses, while evenings bring competitors together at the famed “World’s Largest 19th Hole,” featuring food, beverages, live entertainment, and camaraderie that defines the World Am experience.

Participants annually represent all 50 states and multiple countries, creating a competitive yet welcoming environment that keeps players returning year after year.

With registration limited to 3,000 players, interested participants are encouraged to register to secure a spot in the field.

Past participants can register beginning March 11, with public registration opening March 18.
