World Am is USA International Pairs Qualifier, Entries Open

The Golf.com World Amateur Handicap Championship will again serve as the United States qualifier for the International Pairs Championship, providing World Am participants another exciting competitive option.

A team event, the winner of the IP will receive an expenses paid trip to Scotland to compete in the 2014 IP World Championship. Teams can consist of any two World Am participants, regardless of handicap, age, or gender. Both team members must be competitors in the World Am.

After 54 holes of combined team, net stroke play competition (Monday-Wednesday), the five teams with the lowest scores will advance to the Championship round on Friday, August 30 at Barefoot Resort’s Dye Club. After an 18-hole shootout, an IP champion is crowned.

Entry fee is $120 per team or $60 per individual. Players can bring a teammate or be paired with one by the tournament committee.

The top 10 teams in the field receive a prize.

World Am Champ Celebrates 2025 Title with Tennessee Home Course Members

The Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship team traveled to Three Ridges Golf Course in Knoxville, Tennessee, to formally honor 2025 World Champion Scott Collette with an onsite trophy presentation at his home course. Dozens of family members, friends, and fellow members of the Three Ridges community gathered to recognize Collette’s outstanding achievement at the 2025 Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship in The Golf Capital of the World®. The event marked a proud moment for both Collette and his home club, celebrating his triumph over a field of nearly 3,000 competitors from across the globe.
