World’s Largest 19th Hole is Ready to Host Participants

The Golf.com World Amateur Handicap Championship is just days away, and in advance of your arrival, we wanted to provide you a comprehensive overview of the World’s Largest 19th Hole and the fun you will be having!

We’ve already touched on the improved food offerings this year, which include nightly meals from Carlos n’ Charlies/Senor Frogs, Rioz, Tilted Kilt, Capriz, Dominos, Logan’s Roadhouse and Friendly’s Ice Cream.

Of course, good food needs to be chased by good drink and there will be plenty available. Michelob Ultra will again be the official beer of the 19th Hole, joining Michelob’s newest golf-centric beverage – Ultra 19th Hole, a refreshing mixture of sweet tea and lemonade that we can’t wait to sample!!

Goslings Rum is returning to serve its ever popular Dark ‘n Stormy, a mixture of ginger beer and premium black seal rum. Other top shelf liquors and wine will be available in addition to a full complement of water and soft drinks.

You may need an extra drink as you browse the expanded golf expo area that will feature more than 35 exhibitors. Included among this year’s vendors will be Ecco Golf Shoes, Razor Golf, GolfTec and Avid Golf.

The official apparel provider of the World Am, Oxford Golf, is setting up a special retail store that will feature an assortment of Tour quality merchandise.

Among the featured entertainment will be PGA Tour Confidential on Tuesday night, a roundtable discussion and Q&A with Sports Illustrated Golf Group’s leading writers. Golf Channel analyst Charlie Rymer and former Big Break winner and Myrtle Beach Golf Buzz host Blair O’Neal will be among the guests on the 19th Hole main stage as well.

On the final night, comedian Henry Cho, who has his a Comedy Channel show and is an avid golfer, will send players home with a smile on their face after his stand-up performance.

In addition to Demo Ally, where players can hit the game’s newest equipment, there will be a closet to the pin contest on state-of-the-art simulators and a long putt contest.

A new addition will be the NASCAR Experience, which will allow players to test their tire changing skills on a stock car. If golf doesn’t work out, maybe you will have a future as a pit crew member!

One change to the 19th Hole this year will be a reallocation of space. We will no longer be utilizing the ballroom to host World Am live. This year’s nightly live entertainment will be moved to the outside pavilion area in front of the convention center.

In addition to live music, the real upshot for players is the Pavilion area – where a full range of drinks will be served – will open 15 minutes earlier than the 19th Hole, giving you a chance to start the party a little early.

Dominos will have a pizza station, there will be a Michelob Ultra beer wagon, and a cigar shop setup by Tinder Box at the Pavilion as well.

The 19th Hole will again be the heartbeat of the World Am, and we can’t wait to see you there!
