Scratch, Net, Hackers.. Calling all golfers alike!

The World Am now boasts NINE divisions spread among 70 flights to participate in. The best part is that each caters to a different type of golfer. We know no two golfers are alike, and we’ve got a division for you.

That’s why we’ve created other opportunities to play in the World’s greatest event and we’re here to elaborate on the benefits of each! Before reading any further, I’ll sum it all up for you.. if you play golf at all, you need to play in this!!

Net Divisions (Men’s 49&U, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+, Women)

The net divisions are the foundation of the tournament. Flighted by gender, age, and handicap; this is where your competitive spirits awaken. Anyone can compete against players very similar to you. With so many participants in the net divisions, handicap ranges can be minimal allowing for fierce competition!

These divisions are great for:

  • The competitive, everyday golfer

Gross Divisions (Men’s all ages or 50+ Only)

2014 highlights (4)A few years ago, the Gross Divisions were introduced to allow low handicap amateurs a chance to experience the incredible week of festivities, and compete in a world class golf tournament without having to worry about strokes. Separated into two divisions, one for Seniors only and the other for all ages, this division is for the mid-Am style golfer who, if they kept a handicap, would be between a 0-8.

These divisions are great for:

  • Scratch players
  • Don’t keep a handicap
  • Don’t prefer net play

Just for Fun!

The World Am is fun! That is a fact. There is nothing else like it on planet Earth. Buthighlights (36)sm lets be honest, some people find the thought of “grinding it out” and following the asinine rules of golf for 72 holes repulsive. Some would like the ability to travel to the same course with a spouse or friend, play from whatever tee box they want and not worry about their score. That is why we introduced the Just for Fun flight. This will give people the option to bypass the competition and get straight to the enjoyment on the golf course. Can’t get out of the trap? Who cares! Pick up and move on. Want to tee it up from the red tee? Sounds good to us!

This division is great for:

  • Groups who want to play together
  • Those who say “mulligan”, “that was good” or “I’ll just pick up!”
  • Couples
