Crowning the “People’s Choice Award”: the Best Dishes at the 19th Hole in 2023

Everyone has their favorite part of the week when it comes to experiencing the World Am and for many, it is the delicious local flavors served to the 3,000+ players and their guests at the world’s largest 19th Hole each night!

Each night serves as an opportunity for all of the participating restaurants to show off some of their best dishes, creating an outstanding menu of choices for the thousands of hungry guests. This year we once again had returning staples such as Bimini’s, Dagwood’s, and Dirty Don’s, as well as some fresh faces like Fire & Smoke Gastropub and Taylor Made Catering! With such an awesome mix of dishes and flavors, there was always something for everyone on a plate.

With so many different options available, you have to be wondering which ones were the fan favorites? Following a thorough survey of YOU, the people, we have the results of what turned out to be a very close race between a handful of choices.

We are happy to announce that this year’s “People’s Choice” award goes to Big Mike’s Soul Food! Big Mike’s pulled off the win by wowing 19th Hole guests with their Monday night dish of “Southern Style BBQ Ribs served with Homemade Potato Salad”. With dishes like this, as well as the others throughout the rest of the week, Big Mike’s was able to have a leg up on the rest of their competition.

As we stated previously though, this was a very close race with a few other restaurants finishing close behind. Congratulations to Angelo’s Steak & Pasta, Friendly’s Ice Cream, and Carolina Ale House on earning honorable mention recognitions.

Thank you to all of those participants that completed the surveys, your feedback is valuable and used each year to make the World Am better. We also want to give a special shoutout to all of our amazing restaurant partners! Without their hard work, the World’s Largest 19th Hole just wouldn’t taste so good!
