Back in 2023, the World Am Club Championship!

One of the foundation blocks of a massive tournament like the Myrtle Beach World Am is camaraderie.

Returning in 2023, there is no better representation of this than the World Amateur Club Championship!

Already present at the World Am each year are a variety of Clubs from across the country and world wide. Many groups travel to the event from the same golf course, and we want to showcase that camaraderie!

How does it work? The World Am Club Championship will compile the many well represented Clubs onto a leaderboard throughout the week of the World Am. Clubs must have a minimum of ten (10) players in the net field to be included in the Club Championship competition. For consideration to compete in the competition a Club’s status is defined simply as players that maintain their handicap with the same Type 1 Physical Club on the World Handicap System.  There is no extra cost for the World Am Club Championship, and the World Am tournament team will automatically compile the list. As long as your Club has 10+ players represented, you’re in!

How is it scored? Scoring for the event will be team-based utilizing eight (8) of the Club’s top total net scores in relation each round to determine the team total each day. The top scoring Club after the four World Am rounds will take the World Amateur Club Championship hardware back home from Myrtle Beach to display at their home club!

This year’s participating clubs with a minimum of 10 participating members are The Villages, Ft. Jackson Golf Club, Arrowhead Country Club, Fairfield Glade Resort, Myrtlewood Golf Club, Cape Royal Golf Club,  Jersey Meadow Golf Course, Quail Valley Golf Course, and Brunswick Golf Club. We look forward to crowning one of these 9 clubs as the winner of our second annual Club Championship.

We hope you are as excited as we for the 40th Anniversary of the World Am!  Check in for the tournament will begin at 9AM Saturday, August 26th at the North Myrtle Beach PGA Tour Superstore and continue at 9AM Sunday, August 27th at the Myrtle Beach PGA Tour Superstore.
