Coming in 2022, the World Am Club Championship!

One of the best parts of the Myrtle Beach World Amateur is the continued commitment to adding new and exciting options for competition and the tournament experience every year.

In 2022, the World Am team is excited to announce the brand new World Amateur Club Championship!

Already present at the World Am each year are a variety of Clubs from across the country and world wide. Many groups travel to the event from the same golf course, or simply the same local handicap “Club”, and we want to showcase that camaraderie!

How will it work? The World Am Club Championship will compile the many well represented Clubs onto a leaderboard throughout the week of the World Am. Clubs must have a minimum of ten (10) players in the net field to be included in the Club Championship competition. For consideration to compete in the competition a Club’s status is defined simply as players that maintain their handicap with the same handicap club on the World Handicap System.  There is no extra cost for the World Am Club Championship, and the World Am tournament team will automatically compile the list together: so as long as your Club has 10+ players represented, you’re in!

How will it be scored? Scoring for the event will be team-based utilizing eight (8) of the Club’s top total net scores in relation each round to determine the team total each day. The top scoring Club after the four World Am rounds will take the World Amateur Club Championship hardware back home from Myrtle Beach to display at their home club!

What’s next? Well bolster your Club’s roster of course! Get your fellow locals and club members to join in on the Myrtle Beach World Amateur action and send them the Refer-a-friend link. Each NEW player you bring that attributes their entry to your referral is worth $50 credit towards your next year’s entry. You can’t beat that!

We hope you are as excited as we are to add the World Am Club Championship into the mix.  Registration for the World Am will open on March 22nd so mark your calendar!
