Welcome Aboard: Oxford Golf Joins the World Am Team!

The week starts with great news! We are delighted to introduce everyone to the newest member of the Golf.com World Am team – Oxford Golf.

Oxford Golf is an official sponsor of this year’s event and will be the exclusive provider of the 2012 tournament shirt for participants, embroidered with the World Am logo. While you guys and gals are playing this year’s tournament in one of golf’s best performance shirts, former PGA Championship winner David Toms will be sporting an Oxford Golf shirt on the PGA Tour as well.

Oxford Golf will also sell merchandise at the World’s Largest 19th Hole and provide promotional items to participants and volunteers.

2012 has been a banner year for Oxford Golf. After launching a direct to consumer Web store in March, OxfordGolf.com, Oxford Golf has also expanded its collegiate apparel line and pro-shop presence. At the tournament, Oxford Golf will have the ability to put a new shirt in the hands of all 3,000+ participants, giving them the opportunity to discover their new favorite golf shirt.

“Oxford Golf is thrilled to sponsor the Golf.com World Amateur Handicap Championship with Golf.com and Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday,” said Dave Leveille, President of Oxford Golf. “Our focus is to provide quality golf clothing for golfers of all levels and this event fits perfectly within our brand goals. We’re looking forward to a great week in August.”

As a tournament staff, we couldn’t be happier to welcome Oxford Golf to the game’s greatest amateur event!

FYI, this year’s event tees off 14 weeks from today! I hope you guys are getting ready.
