We started checking people in at the PGA Tour Superstore in North Myrtle Beach Saturday at 9 a.m. Check-in will run until 7 p.m., so you have plenty of time to play a round of golf and still get to the Superstore. Angelo’s Steak and Pasta has been voted the 2025 Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur People’s Choice Restaurant of the Year. The announcement was made Wednesday at Angelo’s Steak and Pasta (2311 S. Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach).

Scott Collette from Knoxville, Tennessee is the official World Amateur golf champion, defeating 59 other golfers in the Flight Winners Playoff of the 2025 Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship Friday played at Thistle Golf Club in Sunset Beach, N.C.
Collette defeated Doug Harvey (Zebulon, N.C.) in a three-hole playoff. Richard Marriott (Paget, Bermuda) finished third, with five golfers tying for fourth place.
