The Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship team traveled to Three Ridges Golf Course in Knoxville, Tennessee, to formally honor 2025 World Champion Scott Collette with an onsite trophy presentation at his home course. Dozens of family members, friends, and fellow members of the Three Ridges community gathered to recognize Collette’s outstanding achievement at the 2025 Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship in The Golf Capital of the World®. The event marked a proud moment for both Collette and his home club, celebrating his triumph over a field of nearly 3,000 competitors from across the globe.

Angelo’s Steak and Pasta has been voted the 2025 Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur People’s Choice Restaurant of the Year. The announcement was made Wednesday at Angelo’s Steak and Pasta (2311 S. Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach).

Meet the 2025 Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship winner: Scott Collette of Knoxville, Tenn. Scott takes us through his journey that first led him to the World Am, and the years that followed that have now culminated in his new status as World Champion!

Scott Collette from Knoxville, Tennessee is the official World Amateur golf champion, defeating 59 other golfers in the Flight Winners Playoff of the 2025 Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship Friday played at Thistle Golf Club in Sunset Beach, N.C.

Collette defeated Doug Harvey (Zebulon, N.C.) in a three-hole playoff. Richard Marriott (Paget, Bermuda) finished third, with five golfers tying for fourth place.

What a week it’s been in for the 42nd Annual Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship! Day 4 of “The World’s Largest 19th Hole” at the 42nd Annual Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship featured more skills challenges hosted by St. André Golf, a visit from Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Matt Pivarnik, ’80s tribute band The Breakfast Club and a special tribute to Tournament Director Ryan Hart Thursday night at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

As players made their final moves in pursuit of winning their flights to advance to Friday’s championship round, Thursday’s Day 4 of the 42nd Annual Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship wrapped up regulation play with a flourish! Day 3 of the 42nd Annual Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship featured George and Wesley Bryan – “The Bryan Bros” – as they took on challengers from the Coastal Carolina University PGA Golf Management Program at the closest to the pin and long putt venues. Later, the crew from St. André Golf took to the singing stage as Aaron, Hannah and Jonathan led the karaoke festivities in the ballroom to cap an action-packed Wednesday night at “The World’s Largest 19th Hole” at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Picture-perfect golf weather once more welcomed players to Day 3 of the 42nd Annual Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship Wednesday! Day 2 of the 42nd Annual Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship featured the return of our old friend, Charlie Rymer, as he took on St. André Golf’s Aaron Chewning in a closest-to-the-pin contest. Meanwhile, the Crocodile Rocks Dueling Pianos kept the ballroom jumping, and the nightly putting challenge became a survival of the fittest at “The World’s Largest 19th Hole” at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

St. André Golf’s Jonathan Pawlowski made his way around “World’s Largest 19th Hole” Monday night, sampling several of the culinary offerings that were part of the World Am’s opening night festivities at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. And Jonathan wasn’t the only one making the rounds last night. Play Golf Myrtle Beach snapped a few elevated shots of this year’s revamped 19th Hole offerings, showcasing the venue from a first-time perspective.
